just to get this off my chest....the music and good times put forth by Mr. Lesh and, for that matter, by Ratdog, (now also by Furthur) is not only outstanding, it blows away the stale, sloppy and embarrassing work that the Dead did from 90-95. I'm so impressed with Phil Lesh's energy, his spirit and the way he and Bob have pushed the music to new, previously unexplored levels over the last 12 yrs or so. Truly amazing. Let's enjoy it while it lasts, shall we?

I was at this show and the band and audience energy That night was extremely strong. All Along The Watchtower was the best version I've ever heard. At the end of the song Phil and Jimmy Came over and gave Warren a hug because he gave it all he had.

Subject: Best show of three-night run
Subject: Best show of three-night run
I saw all three shows at the Tower, and this one was definitely the hottest--and mainly because Warren Haynes seemed much more energetic on this night. If memory serves, Warren had been battling a cold--and the first two nights indicated his lack of energy--yet they were both very good shows. But this show really smoked--well, just browse over the setlists (sort of a Deadhead's wish list), and that should clue the listener.
The quality is great, of course, being a sbd release; so, if you enjoyed the "quintent," this show is a "must download."

For anyone that saw any of these shows it's hard to put into words how how they were. These boards are crystal crystal clear and the music sublime. Viola Lee, Low Spark, are very hot in particular. It is great how Mountain Jam licks spice up Dark Star and that when you thought they forgot about The Other One they loop back into it at the least likely time.
